What is pH exercise?

»Acid Fitness vs Alkaline Health
»Faster Body pH Balance

Fitness vs Health
The term 'pH exercise' is usually used to refer to the necessary acidification that occurs from the increase in lactic acid and body temperature during muscle conditioning. Acidification happens by default whenever the body starts to run out of oxygen and metabolism becomes more anaerobic (usually within a couple minutes when breathing quickens).

Since lactic acid breaks down into carbon dioxide and H+, the excess hydrogen disrupts balance of electrolytes inside and outside the cells required for optimal metabolism in the deep tissues of the body. While adaptation through acidification is the intended purpose of muscle contraction during endurance and resistance intervals and sports training, if we want to accelerate adaptation and recovery it is necessary to restore body pH to its normal slightly alkaline level as fast as possible.

Metabolites produced by muscle contraction cause the vascular network in muscle tissue to expand even as adrenaline released by the sympathetic nervous system during training is shutting down blood vessels in the rest of the body. This compensatory mechanism however eventually fails even in blood-rich muscle forcing an athlete to stop from exhaustion and pain at the anaerobic threshold -- a good thing since acidosis can provoke a cardio vascular accident.

Body'Fit pH Fitness™ exercise (short form... pHx™) bridges the gap between training hard enough to get results and over-reaching to the point of over-training. It's an entirely different technique, in fact a new fitness paradigm, because it fits the body at the level of pH health, not simply endurance and strength fitness. Body'Fit pHx™ provides a warm-up cool down system for faster restoration of body chemistry or acid base equilibrium. Its approach to exercise design is neutralizing pH acidity with a rhythmical sequence that balances oxygen in all of the deep tissues as well V02max in large and small muscles, equally.

What's unique about Body'Fit pH Fitness exercise is that it provides the 100% aerobic cardio to raise the anaerobic threshold which gets More Out of Exercise by achieving a new homeostatic Peak Metabolic Potential PMP™ in as little as 7 to 14 minutes. Hence 'pH exercise' in the case of Body'Fit pHx refers to the normal pH alkalinity cells require to fire at maximum capacity throughout the body, not to the pH acidity produced by exercise that is a body fit for muscle alone to hog the blood supply.

Faster Body pH Balance
With interval training, muscle cell mitochondria adapt to burn more lactic acid.
The reason why skeletal muscle can adapt to acidification is because it pulls most of the blood (oxygen and electrolytes) out of the body (up to 90%). A deliberate method of restoring alkaline body pH balance as fast as possible after such a workout is necessary because lactic acid production eventually exceeds the body's ability to metabolize lactate, slowing recovery of homeostasis.

The pHx warm-up cool down provides a considerable advancement in training protocol, since even a small change in homeostatic body pH negatively impacts protein synthesis and cellular electrical activity throughout the body. Therefore the faster pH levels return to normal after exercise and sports, the better -- and speed requires compression of total body oxygenation mechanisms. It's observed that Body'Fit pH Fitness exercise returns homeostatic balance very fast as indicated by heart rate recovery within seconds after performance.

How fast the body can return to a normal healthy alkaline pH after exercise determines how fast adaptation, recovery, and regeneration can take place, and ultimately the time to peak physical condition. Many training benefits result from returning alkaline pH balance fast (if all other physiological parameters are accounted for), including prevention of the sympathetic or parasympathetic dominance symptomatic of overtraining syndrome. It's now possible to optimize exercise health for improved training tolerance. Furthermore mood balance requires a normal alkaline pH, and mental acuity is sharper after the 24-exercise Body'Fit pH Fitness warm-up cool down.

The bottom line is if the second half of the adaptation picture is missing, i.e., pH balanced aerobic cardio, exercise recovery after a good workout can take several days. Body'Fit pHx™ is the first total body dynamic stretching program to return pH levels to normal pre and post exercise in as little as 5 minutes utilizing contraction of opposing muscle groups. As an exercise warm-up pHx prepares the body for the stress of acidification by driving circulation deep into the body building up the reserves of oxygen and electrolytes, raising the level at which the compensatory mechanisms fail, and equalizing V02max in both large and small muscles to squeeze the vascular and lymphatic circulation improving electrolyte distribution.

When included as a cool down Body'Fit pH Fitness improves overall pH health, rescuing systemic tissues from the damage of pH imbalance after sports training, puts all muscles into balance virtually eliminating soreness after exercise, and minimizes the risk of over-reaching and over-training syndrome. That true Body'Fit exercise can neutralize pH acidity, overheating, and metabolite buildup this fast, is the missing piece for peak performance in business and sports... try it.
