Acidosis... the combined effect of both a drop in metabolic pH, and an increase of carbon dioxide in the blood, during strenuous exercise where the compensatory mechanisms fail; especially significant in cardiac arrest (heart attack) during exercise. "Body'Fit pH Fitness™ exercise design accounts for the diversion of electrolyte resources to balancing the pH during exercise by serving the metabolic demands of all tissues". Cells function best when the pH of intra- and extra-cellular fluid is held at a specific value. Body pH acidity (increase in H+) occurs as a result of the changes in the dissociation constants of various acids (lactic acid) and bases in the blood. With the high temperatures associated with most exercise the acid pH (increase in H+) drops even more. In addition, partial pressure of CO2 stabilizes at a lower level, reducing both the ability of the body to excrete carbon dioxide and increasing the metabolic workload of the compensatory mechanisms in kidneys, liver and the blood stream. The kidneys adjust bicarbonate by maintaining the specific ratio of anions to cations which can take several days; this ratio determines speed of electrical activity ie. the action potential in cells. Fortunately, ionic particles can be absorbed from the air at a much faster rate than they can be reabsorbed by the kidneys. Body'Fit warm-up cool down design considers these physiological parameters when preventing pH of fluids inside and outside the cells straying from the slightly alkaline value of 7.4 and 7.2 respectively. It's designed to promote buffers like bicarbonate by action of the kidneys, and by excretion of CO2 by the lungs. Usually with increasing metabolism during exercise, the demand for cations Na+, Cl- and HCO3- in the plasma increases just as concentrations of Na+, K+, Ca++ and other anions involved in the electrical activity of cells decreases. This causes wear and tear and slows regeneration from which cells must recover. As long as the relative number of anions and cations is maintained, the total number of electrolytes can go up or down and the pH will be maintained. Body'Fit design considers the supply and demand of electrolytes in order to accelerate cell renewal, increasing delivery of anions and cations as metabolism rises without disrupting the normal alkaline pH. Circulation of ions is engineered to support buffering of any imbalance in CO2 concentration, while optimized ventilation efficiency promotes absorption of ion gases. In the presence of sufficient electrolytes like Cl- outside the cells, Na+ will diffuse out and Cl- will diffuse in, rebalancing and recharging the cells without the need for post exercise recovery. Adjustment of bicarconate (HCO3-) concentration in cerebral spinal fluid results in setting the pH (of blood and other body fluids), as does maintaining a strong ion difference. During anerobic metabolism the increase in CO2 will affect pH imbalance in cerebral spinal fluid which the body attempts to restore by moving strong ions, Na+ and Cl- as well as HCO3-, across the blood brain barrier. With distribution of ions is primarily limited to skeletal muscle, the kidney's can take several days to restor a healthy alkaline pH can take several days. Plus with hyperventilation, the drop in plasma CO2 hinders acid secretion; and the respiratory compensation tends to inhibit renal response during metabolic acidosis. Although the inhibitory effect is not clinically significant, it impacts optimal ionic levels for cellular metabolism (regeneration). The greater the performance intensity of exercise, the closer to optimum cellular respiration and the R ratio (carbon dioxide/oxygen) needs to be in all the cells of the body in order to improve on slow compensation of reactive hyperventilation and even slower kidney compensation of pH acidity and acidosis. Heightening circulation to deep organs to produce a noticeable immediate increase in kidney activity, reducing the buffering workload on the kidneys by engineering ventilation, stimulating neuro-lymphatic meridians with weight bearing exercises performed in the optimal sequence for efficient whole-body ion gas absorption and delivery, and awakening neural and endorine plexus in the natural sequence for integration helps prepare all the systems of the body for strenuous training. Body'Fit helps accelerate alkaline balance for fast sports recovery and adaptation by preparing the body for exertion stress. The function of the proteins, the metabolism of the cell, and the activities of the cell are not altered with the Body'Fit pH Fitness exercise warm-up, regardless of it's performance speed and intensity making it particularly useful in prevention of and recovery from acidosis. |
