Exercise Recovery Goals

Factors reported to be associated with this finding include raised cortisol levels, reduced salivary immunoglobulin levels, and low glutamine levels. Glutamine in an essential amino acid for rapidly dividing cells such as lymphocytes, and was found to be deficient in overtrained athletes, and significantly reduced following hard training efforts. It has been suggested that low plasma glutamine levels associated with intense training and overtraining may compromise lymphocyte function and that this may be related to an increased incidence of infection. The Body'Fit pH Fitness routine consists of 24 exercises which balance all muscles through their range of movement in 5-15 minutes. They are designed to relate to the five anatomical cavities in a specific sequence of 5 series which move each spinal segment. The first two series (dorsal and abdominal) plus the last exercise in the routine are designed to awaken the hypothalamus, the control center for the endocrine plexus corresponding to the anatomical cavities. Several techniques are employed in order to heighten metabolic activity in the cranial cavity including but not limited to: centrifugal force generated by pendular movements used to pull additional blood circulation into the brain and increase speed of blood flow, weight-bearing stimulation on neuro-lymphatic points specifically aimed at awakening the hypothalamus, body positions to increase blood pressure in the cranium, and the deliberate engineering of adenosine release with sudden compression of the abdomen to open up deep vessels.

The fourth and fifth series (cranial sacral) which stimulate the neural plexus of the parasypathetic nervous system, are optimally placed in the sequence to balance stimulation of the sympathetic plexus and prevent system dominance.

Hypothosis Conclusion
Training alone is not considered the primary cause of overtraining, rather its thought to be the total amount of stress on the athlete. Sympathetic overtraining is assumed to be primarily the consequence of inappropriately intensive training sessions, however non-training related stress factors may play more of a role especially as overtraining symptoms start to affect life both on and off the field. Parasympathetic overtraining is assumed to be the consequence of an imbalance between long-term inappropriately high training volume, and too little time for regeneration, as well as non-training related stress factors. In light of this, the efficacy of Body'Fit pH Fitness exercise in facilitating recovery from over-reaching and overtraining symptoms is not only it's ability to balance the nervous system.
