A shift in paradigm paradox

It’s funny isn’t it, how we’ve been so quick to accept the status quo even though we know it’s not working, and yet so reticent to champion change even if more reasonable. This puzzling phenomena of defaulting to the lowest common denominator and adamant opposition to anything else (even though we might choose differently if we really thought it through) has a commonality that points to the cause, doesn’t it. Thought, or rather the lack of comprehensive thought.

Disconnected fragmented logic produces an odd resistance, for example we go to great lengths to handle passive aggressive vagrants and petty criminals with kid gloves (even permitting possession of stolen shopping carts), and yet we’ve been loathe to extend respect to peaceful demonstrators with a higher aim in life. Even if it’s meant sacrificing our own democratic rights and freedoms, and sometimes to the point of tolerating police brutality. Could this be why as a society we’ve paradoxically defended environmental pollution, treated our own bodies as toxic dumps, criticized those who regard the truth as constructive and praised the harbingers of lies and deception?

Acting on beliefs short circuits the cycle of a complete thought, and therefore takes very little effort. It’s already wired in, usually since early childhood, and perpetuated by movies and media to keep us all thinking the same way, yes a culture of bots (thanks to Steve Jobs Pixar Disney at least isn’t a fake; even Twitter has become inundated with phoney followers in recent weeks, notice that.) The synapses have fired so many times those neural pathways have become engrained, fully automated, and usually, most unfortunately unconscious. So it’s accepted as the norm without question.

It takes will power, spirit, to ‘think different’. Fulfillment of our true potential depends on the freedom to do so, it is innate to the well being of humankind. Fear of slipping to bottom of the heap has tended to replace honesty with nicety, and we’ve largely ignored the reconciling of cognitive dissonance, a shift in paradigm. The result of a shift is more enjoyable albeit much more difficult to achieve. It’s on that pain/ pleasure interface where brain and body literally have to develop new connections to accommodate innovative ideas that match pre-established whole cycles of reality rather than narrow mental constructs. There’s certainly a growing body of scientific evidence to support this: How can we begin to think different? It isn’t merely mental cleverness. A small internal shift can have a big external influence, I’ve found, however what’s necessary is a body fit that raises metabolic rate without imbalancing chemical pH harmonizing thought process with emotional understanding rooted in the heart. And that’s not easy is it, especially in this day and age without contemporary tools relevant to the technological mind.

An Effective Brainwashing Technique

A simple psychological research test reveals a wealth of information about how our mind can play tricks on us, especially when it comes to money.

Participants were given a very monotonous meaningless task to perform and then given monetary incentive to lie to the next person that it was a very interesting task. Amazingly those least compensated actually came to believe their own lie, and most strongly defended the boring task. Transgression of integrity was the most easily denied by those who were paid the least, and ratiomalized by those who felt they had a solid financial reason to lie.

This gives us insight into why people believe whatever they’re told if the truth is too painful to admit. Focus on the real issues threatens the comfort of denial, and so we divert our eyes. As long as we’re asleep to the perilous state of democracy we prefer any petty distraction to doing our homework. And that plays right into the hands of destructive powers which exist only if we naively believe everything we hear on TV or read in the newspaper, without question.

Of course when we’re aware of how the mind works it’s much easier to catch ourselves. Unless of course our neural networks are completely anesthetized with fear, guilt, etc., then we’re susceptible and vulnerable, with no protection whatsoever from white-washing. It does happen, as we’ve seen during the events following Occupy Wall Street. We need to be fully awake don’t we, to detect the telling inconsistencies that constitute today’s methods of manipulation. (It seems Edgar Hoover’s soulless dynasty  has virtually cut out authentic Charlie Chaplin Hollywood; ever notice there’s no watchable new movies on iTunes lately, and where are all the real stars? Few and far between, and honestly I don’t see any who haven’t been compromised; Jim Carrey’s latest movie subvertly poking fun at Chaplin is the icing on the cake. I actually bought if for a minute, didn’t you? Although it’s interesting since posting this link on Twitter there’s a couple of Chaplin movies for rent without having to buy – rather obtuse but an improvement nonetheless.)

If video doesn’t appear then it’s been tampered with, and blog security has been breached.

Here’s an example from youtube, we can assess the validity of the information by analyzing discrepancies between Occupy protestors and impostors. If we observe the general demeanour of the three people in the video we see they are all the same, the sunglasses, the clothing, and they’re so accustomed to having their needs cared for they don”t realize they stand out In the crowd. Listen closely, their turn of phrase is more of a certain segment of American urbanite than Canadian. We don”t talk like that. And it’s certainly not characteristic of the group at Occupy Vancouver. How else can you tell if they’re ligit, or not? The police are lining up for their fancy pamphlets, and they’ve been well publicized by mainstream media.

However the kicker is the content of their message. They begin by setting the stage with a wishy washy pose they believe aligns with the peaceful milieu, except their exaggerated stance belies their intent. Each of the three pretenders has their own specialty, and this clues us in that they haven’t been randomly picked for the job. The real give-away is the third speaker who delivers the punch and divulges the agenda by introducing the concept of “privatization” as the economic future. This is in contrast to the interview by the award-winning journalist at Democracy Now where privatization of public domain is precisely identified as the cover by which our inalienable rights and freedoms are eroded. Rhetoric about how the 99% are suffering at the hands of inept government bureaucracy rounds out the package presumably making military takeover by security forces, worldwide, more socially acceptable.

Apple Famine in Midst of Plenty

Apples, apples, everywhere, and not a single one to eat. Conventional, certified organic, imported, local, it’s been a bumper crop this year, yet every variety of deliciously tempting crisp and crunchy apple is inedible. At least that’s the case here where I live. What’s happened to all the apples, how could we let an apple famine happen? The latest miracle chemical is said to be safe even natural of course, as has become all too commonplace, the criteria for safe didn’t include so called ‘side’ effects like muscle cramps, blurred vision, joint pain, etc. Every three months a whole slew of new additives is approved, and if boby awareness, observation and experience are any indication, this last round has been a doozy.

Has this been done intentionally to keep targeted populations repressible or is it completely unconscious? Money to pay off our bottomless debt (there’s no money in it if it can’t be patented…) has to come from somewhere. But it goes deeper than that, doesn’t it? Our debt-based economy is there for reason, much more nefarious than simple greed which a laisse faire market can usually rectify. The resulting polarization is a necessary adjunct for power moguls and monopolies seeking control over the rights and freedoms of others. Power in the hands of a few (could even be benevolent) is ultimately expressed as repression of the many, where the reality of equality eventually forces a conflictt.

It’s no wonder people are rising up, awakening, chiding tyranny. It takes courage, willpower and strength to take a stand. Seeing the effort through to real sustainable change requires a healthy mind and body, which to a large extent depends on availability of clean food, air, and water. If you haven’t been feeling 100% lately you’re not alone; it’s no secret that there’s a famine of health out there. No, not everything’s been contaminated, be wary of berries and fruit though (try to find a bio-dynamic source). Why have we insisted on doing this to ourselves ad nauseum; that’s the pressing question of our times isn’t it?

Scientific, judicial, and social processes have been corruptible. Could it be that we have no basis for agreement when our ability to reason remains incomplete due to a lack of understanding of the logic of whole cycles?  Social decay is pushing our internal evolution like never before. We need to wake up to our humanness otherwise the perils that have threatened our health and well being. Self understanding and objective measurement of the human psyche are required for full realization, it’s easier when we know and understand the territory, totally. If we don’t get it right, we could be back at square one during a most inopportune crisis.

True Wealth is a Body Fit

Mis-construed concepts of our collective minds always seem to get in the way of our freedom, don’t they… freedom to speak, freedom to realize our full potential, even freedom to move as we see fit. Does it mean that we have to stop thinking to gain our freedom? Actually it means we need to start thinking in terms of what fits the totality of who we are, instead of settling for what we think should fit us, culturally.

Steve Jobs never gave up on consciously seeking what fits us as human beings regardless of the obstacles in his way. He did accomplish that in terms of Apple technology because he was very outspoken and expected everyone in the company to be so too (whereas it’s usually considered insubordination). He knew it was the only way to cut through the crap and get to the truth of the customers experience and meets the needs of reality. The next frontier is awareness of what fits the parameters of health for body & mind, both. It’s an axiomatic truth that our brain must be developed to the support the completeness and perfection of a human being’s freedom and self realization.

Here’s an excerpt from The Art of Fitness, “Our body needs to be retrained to move healthy. It means, on a regular basis, moving your body the way it is designed to move, every muscle, every joint, with full range of motion, in every direction, at all speeds, performed with agility, power and grace.” How do we make sure we do this every day so we can enjoy sports and activities without injury? Even if you spent hours and hours a day, we may not put all the muscles and meridians into balance. To awaken the natural intelligence of the body otherwise inhibited by fascial adhesion and tension, the free flow of electrolytes along connective tissue under the skin and along lines that connect the organs must be intentionally promoted daily.

To do this we need to account for every aspect of physical movement, as well as every physiological aspect of body chemistry. Traditional methods usually take hours of daily practice to awaken the perfect pattern. How can we, say in 7 to 14 minutes achieve it without cortisol acid stress – remind the body of the completeness and perfection of its template. This is where our contemporary knowledge can improve on traditional disciplines like yoga and qi gong. So how do we synthesize traditional principles with our scientific understanding, so that once such a routine is performed each morning we really don’t have to think about our posture for the rest of the day?

If it really is a body fit the more you relax release and enjoy it the better it works without observable huffing and puffing at any speed. Personally I use Body’Fit pH Fitness exercise (short form… pHx), it conforms to principles of our perfect pattern so our body can once again think for itself according to its pre-established laws. Specific breathing matches oxygen needs precisely for each of the movements, which isolate muscle groups with ergonomic postures which safely and easily equalize VO2max throughout the body, without acidification of pH in blood and cellular fluid. Radical? Absolutely.

David Suzuki at Occupy

To his credit, David Suzuki did identify nature as the pre-established template for economic sanity. He pointed out that nature doesn’t adhere to man-made concepts in fulfilling it’s cycles of health and well being, and if something isn’t working we can and must change it. However David Suzuki’s address at Occupy Vancouver fell short of a solution in that, I’m sorry, but the circulation of money has never contributed to our problems, on the contrary. No generation can be blamed for spending too much, not even if baby boomers presented a convenient scapegoat for the one percent. The call to younger generations by David Suzuki to lower their sights, spend less and save more with a goodly sprinkle of altruism, is propagation of exactly the same self sacrificing scarcity mentality that’s brought about this historical moment of planetary crisis.

To say that we should only have what we need, not what we want, is simply not enough for human beings to fulfil their potential. When we hold the belief that everything is scarce, we must continue to produce more and more out of fear just to make money – EVEN IF WE DON’T WANT IT AND IT’S HARMFUL TO US. So it’s this unsustainable way in which we’ve made money, and how money has been put into circulation as debt only, to allow the one percent to get something (just about everything) for nothing, which ultimately blocks unrestricted distribution of wealth. The bare essentials of survival may work for lower animals, however the moment increase stops in our lives, death and dissolution immediately set in.

To be fully human we must also have the freedom to determine our destiny and explore, discover and fulfill the dreams in our hearts; order without freedom is pointless. Evolution has provided for every human being to have everything we want. We live in a world of absolute abundance, there’s no need for repression. There’s enough wealth on this planet for everyone to have as many yachts as they want if that’s what we really want, but as things stand stagnant, symbolic of status, right now most people who own a yacht don’t ever hardly use it. (No one ever tells a tree to stop growing, it balances itself out. No one ever has to tell another species to control it’s population, it balances itself out. If we remember that we can all have what we want, there are too many yachts because only people who really loved yachting would own one, for a buzz of activity dockside.)

Unless you can use it for increase in your life, don’t plunder for the sake of status of ownership. Every room in the White House is used for example, but building a 35 thousand square foot mansion for two people who don’t actually use all the space except maybe once or twice a year for a party, is a problem because the resources aren’t being used for anyone’s increase. If every person who has 50 cars sitting in their garage, donated a Mazaradi or Ferrari to Zipcar, the shared-vehicle industry would explode. Driving a Lambourghini once or twice may be all that a lot of people want to experience, since it would give enough increase to move forward. Each time we experience an increase, it opens the door for more increase.

Restricting the possibilities of increase by corporately-funded policies eventually forces people into corner where the only option left is to Occupy public space. In my research I have found that some of the most brilliant young minds have staked their claim on democracy at Occupy Vancouver. The freedom stake-out community is constantly in committee developing and innovating; it’s an example of living democracy in action where the collective intelligence increases with a process where every voice can be heard independently. They’re attempting to define a method whereby what we choose. we choose together, consciously. Fortunately people have reached a level of evolution that they can achieve change peacefully without violence, as we saw in the Middle East when a government was overthrown by an internal commitment to unity in the hearts of it’s people.

Democratic Sensibility

This article appeared on the front page of The Vancouver Sun Wednesday, October 12, 2011, it opens with the following statement, “U.S. researchers warned Tuesday of an alarming link between vitamin E supplements and a 17-per-cent increased risk of prostate cancer, describing the findings as an “important public health concern”. With this study, supplements have now officially joined the ranks of hundres of thousands of synthesized and processed consumables on the market with known health risks.

So we’ve finally narrowed down the parameters for optimized nutrition to natural whole foods? Not quite. The other side of the equation is lack to freedom to consume one of the most important nutrient-dense foods available to us, i.e. natural non-pasteurized milk. This is the only form of milk with all of it’s inherent nutrients and enzymes intact as per proportions and combinations determined by evolution. Clearly we cannot fulfill our full potential for health without natural food. Without the free will choice to consume raw natural milk instead of cooked processed milk containing artificial supplements, the chances of minimizing our risk of cancer and other degenerative disease is diminshed. Does natural food really minimize the risk? Check this out.

While this is logical and reasonable to most of us as individuals, corporate bureaucracy has had another agenda altogether. How do we reconcile the massive contradiction that makes those products that actually can harm us readily available and legal, but not if something is naturally compatible with the human organism? Here’s a reduction to the ridiculous that may give some much needed perspective to the obscenity of criminalizing the availability of natural food. If all consumables are to be treated equally, then why not put a warning on all food including natural non-pasteurized milk, just like we do on cigarettes or any other hazardous substance.

“Warning: Regular Consumption of Natural Food may be Hazardous to your Health. All non-synthetic food (although even GMO synthetics) have the inherent characteristic of spoilage, handle with rubber gloves. Although nobody who’s ever dared to drink raw milk has died from it, and even more strangely attributed their family’s thriving health to it, be warned that we, the elite guardians of hapless consumers believe that, rightly or wrongly, the remote possibility exists that somebody, someday in the far away distant future, may get sick and subsequently die from its regular consumption even though it’s not poisonous, through their own negligence. Regular habitual consumption of non-pasteurized milk is at your own risk, and not to be sold to minors.”

If the only thing sacrosanct is the denial of the contradictions between the ideas construed by men and the reality of nature, then where has that left us? In a struggle to actualize truth in mind, heart and body against power without accountability. It’s becoming increasingly clear we won’t retain our inalienable right as free will beings to take care of our health and well-being according to the pre-established natural laws by which we’ve evolved, if we don’t succeed. What are you doing to make sure that those who need raw milk, who can only drink natural non-pasteurized milk, have the choice?

Steve Jobs Humanized Technology

Just as Mr. Kakehashi democratized music with digital interface Midi technology, and Meta Living Design is democratizing health fitness with body fit pHx* movement technology, Steve Jobs achieved the possibility of the democratization of communications with human compatible Apple computer technology. How did he do it? Accessibility, do-ability, and enjoyability are the keystones to serving the needs of the majority, that’s how Steve Jobs put Apple computers into our hands, literally.

I have to admit that I pre-judged Apple as representative of the effects technological speed has for increasing the sheer stress of obscurity, difficulty, and alienation from the very means that instead can allow us to survive and thrive as a human race. Rather than succumbing to the ego constructs of oppression/ enslavement, manipulation/ fragmentation, and depravity/ scarcity, or those elements that deconstruct society/ individuals as a fully functioning cohesive unit(y), during Steve Jobs astutely creative life, he accomplished the magical with computers that fulfill the needs of our body and psyche so precisely they’re now aesthetically pleasing, simple to use, with the possibility of being more private and secure.

Steve Jobs life’s work has given us the ability to keep abreast of technological change without enforcing mechanical machine-like behavior. Humanization of technology has made computers a thing of beauty to interact with, so enjoyable even children fall in love with them, and with the advent of iCloud we now have the possibility of completely securing our privacy, and protecting ourselves from every manner of marauding spy. Steve Jobs’ life has showed us what it means to be fully human.

Whole Foods’ iron fist rules customers

Case in point:  when given a choice most people are more than happy to oblige and help out a cashier by emptying their grocery basket. However as soon as this becomes an obligation, it raises the dander on the customer’s neck as an offence to their self respect. And incidently provides a venue for the cashier with an axe to grind to vent passive aggressive tendencies, unchecked.

A clue that this isn’t about ergonomics is that, when given the opportunity to reach into a basket that’s been tipped on it’s side closer to their reach, the Whole Foods’ cashier has insisted with vengence that the customer take out the groceries and double the energy expenditure by virtue of handling the groceries twice. They seem to have forgotten that the customer works too; and that the repetitive nature of physical work is not the sole dominion of a Whole Foods’ employee.

You’d never think would you, that this narrowing of perspective would lead a cashier to affronting a customer by throwing her pen at them, simply because they’re expecting the same basic service at Whole Foods that they get at any other store. The dysfunction becomes even more apparent in light of the options for managing repetative stress including task rotation, counter design, and small-large muscles balance with exercise like Body’Fit pH Fitness™ (pHx™).

Sometimes companies get a little too big for the britches, don’t they, especially without sufficient competition to induce them to pull up their boot straps. Yet, anyway. The encroachment on fundamental democratic sensibilities that’s recently run the gamut from iron-fisted expectations of help from the customer without compensation (and it’s not like you don’t pay a premium price at Whole Foods), to abominations such as attempted criminalization of natural food, e.g. raw unpasteurized milk, is representative of an attitude that doesn’t serve the common good.

Radiation from Sun Body Fit

All life evolved because of the proximity of our planet to the sun. Health and well being is the direct result of regular exposure to UV rays; our dependence on the sun is precise and purposeful in every aspect of organ function. Anything that stands between our body, our brain, and la soliel* can cause physical and emotional dis-ease, including dysfunction of the protective system.

If you wear contact lens and are experiencing psorasis, arthritis, cancer or any of the pluralities of degeneration so common today, one of the factors may be a lack of sunlight entering the retina. You may find these conditions improve dramatically once you start to spend a significant part of your day outdoors with your skin and eyes exposed to the sun (without sunblock, you know when you’re about to burn)..  It’s a good idea to have a pair of eye glasses handy, so you only veil your eyes as necessary for reading or other tasks that require more accurate perceptionYou may soon find that your vision improves as well, especially if you practice the seven principles of health, and learn a few relaxation techniques.

Check out this article on sunshine by the father of the seven principles of health *Don Tolman.

The pineal is connected to the eyes via the SCN (suprachiasmatic node). Production of melatonin by the pineal gland is stimulated by darkness and inhibited by light. Photosensitive cells in the retina detect light and directly signal the SCN, entraining its rhythm to the 24-hour cycle in nature. Fibers project from the SCN to the paraventricular nuclei (PVN), which relay the circadian signals to the spinal cord and out via the sympathetic system to superior cervical ganglia (SCG), and from there into the pineal gland.

In addition you may want to support blood flow to the brain and pineal gland, since movement and exercise usually shifts blood out of the glands and into the muscles. The pineal gland is the only structure of the brain which isn’t affected by the blood brain barrier, and therefore without proper maintenance it often ossifies after a certain age. Fortunately it’s the one gland in the brain where we can optimize oxygen and nutrients in a few minutes with Body’Fit pHx, which builds up oxygen reserves to withstand stresses and strains throughout the day, and during sports workouts. When healthy, the pineal gland has profuse blood flow second only to the kidneys (which helps keep body  chemistry at neutral pH for optimal metabolic function). Get outdoors into the sunshine, do your daily round of pHx to get maintain circulatory integration between the brain and deep organs, and enjoy summer without your contact lens for more relaxation and health fitness.

*as much as possible avoid starring directly into the sun
