Neuropeptide Y... inhibits the release of acetylcyoline from neighbouring vagal nerves. It is released in high frequency discharge of the fight or flight hormone, adrenaline.

Body'Fit pH Fitness™ exercise warm-up is specially designed to balance the pituitary-adrenocortical axis under all conditions of performance speed and duration. By controlling high frequency discharge of adrenaline while at the same time releasing adenosine to convert the action of adrenaline, the routine opens up circulation rather than constricting vessels in the viscera and adipose tissue.

Leptin is an amino acid peptide hormone thought to play an important role in lowering food intake and body weight and is released by adipose tissue which is now recognized as an endocrine organ. Leptin secreted by adipose cells acts at the hypothalamus, which has an abundance of leptin receptors as well as expressing various neuropeptides influencing food intake ie. controls appetite. The effects of leptin are exerted by expression of anabolic neuropeptides, including neuropeptide Y which are also believed to play a role in regulation of food intake and energy homeostasis, and that leptin interacts with the pituitary-adrenocortical axis. Although the exact mechanism of leptin action in the brain have yet to be clarified, they are closely connected, and therefore exercises which balance the brain and abdominal cavity, initiate the Body'Fit™ warm-up.
