Pulmonary System Pressures... are physical mechanisms of the lungs that exercise can leverage to attain the most efficient breathing.

"Thinking before acting takes on a deeper meaning as Body'Fit Life design empowers the body to get more out of breathing during exercise."

When the respiratory muscles contract they enlarge the thorax. The pressure in the pleural space of the lung becomes negative as the lungs become enlarged. This causes the pressure in the airways and alveoli to also become negative, pulling air into the lungs. When the respiratory muscles relax, the lungs recoil back to their original position. The pressure in the pleural space becomes less negative, the pressure that expands the lungs relaxes, the lungs recoil and the alveolar gas compresses. Pressure in the airways becomes positive, and the lungs return to their pre-inhalation resting volume.

Body'Fit pH Fitness utilizes all pulmonary system pressures. The muscle and recoil force that it's specific movement/ breathing patterns apply to the chest wall, including the pressure that inflates the lungs with a volume of gas, the pressure that pulls air into and pushes air out of the lungs, the pressure that dilates the airways, and the abdominal pressure produced by the expansion and contraction of the diaphragm muscle. Body'Fit pH Fitness is engineered to employ all pulmonary system pressures according to the needs of the whole body during the performance of each movement in order to get more out of exercise.
