Start Fresh... The skin constitutes the largest protective organ of our bodies immune system. And it's health is your responsibility, you can't pay someone to give your skin the daily care it needs. There's concise actions you can take to improve your quality of life that doesn't take a lot of money.

Consequently, the first thing Suzanna does upon awakening in the morning is apply cold water to the skin, YES... It brings electrolytes that have sunk deep into the body during the night back to the surface, and helps in the elimination of metabolic waste from the adipose tissue in the thighs and upper arms (the body stores toxins in fat ie. cellulite). The application of cold water to the skin must however be done in specific sequence (view Bucket of...), or it will increase, rather than decrease, the stress of waking up.

Cold clear WATER and fresh AIR - are first and foremost in Suzanna's recommendation of nature's health products. "After cozying up under the covers for five minutes enjoying the rush of circulation to the surface of the skin from the icy H20, I rise spontaneously to do a 5-15 minute round of Body'Fit™ pH exercise for deep body rejuvenation and an instant face lift (bonus)."

Schedule a couple of minutes (not more than 5 minutes or it won't get done) of skin brushing to follow your round of pHx™ which balances body pH and awakens the flow of electrolytes along deep organ meridians and also along the aponeurosis just under the skin which is felt as a flowing warmth. Brushing the skin immediately after the 7 or 15 minute version of Body'Fit pHx™ gives the greatest benefit for stimulation of epidermal circulation and elimination of cellulite toxins. You'll need a good natural bristle (Yerba Prima) skin brush, start with the extremities and brush the entire body in gentle circular motions towards the heart.

"I'm now ready for my de-clorinated Rain Show'r morning shower (regular tap water contains clorine which really drys the skin), I exfoiliate my skin all over by rubbing down with pH balancing Arm and Hammer baking soda, wash with Dr. Bronner's SLS-free all natural bar soap, and rinse off with certfied organic vinagar. For the grand finale I turn the faucet to ice cold and run it over my skin in a specific sequence for greatest benefit without shocking the body. Start by rubbing your left hand with the spray of fresh cold water, then the right hand... feel the cold cleanse and purify your left arm, then your right arm... let the cold water splash over the left foot and leg together, then the right foot and leg together... continue the cold shower in the following order... crotch, back of torso, front of torso, back of neck with your right hand, top of head, and finish with tightening up the pores in your face with a refreshing splash. Try it and you'll never look back. Power-up your day with this total wake up in as little as 30 minutes, WOW...

We Face the World With Our Skin... literally, our face is our first impression. "At 50-something I often get compliments on my good skin as though I was born with it, says Suzanna. In fact I inherited very sensitive skin. My clear flawless skin starts long before I apply makeup... the most important thing I do to pamper my skin is a round of Body'Fit pH Fitness™ to nourish the skin from the inside out. It pays huge dividends in health and well-being - it's amazing to watch your face lift in minutes."

What Goes Into the Bath?... "I keep it simple... 8 ounces of sodium bicarbonate; yes, baking soda leaves the skin feeling soft and deep down clean. Alternatively I prepare a heaping tablespoon of Kelp seaweed by pouring half a cup of boiling water over it and letting it steep for several hours. When I'm ready for my bath in the evening, I throw in a couple handfuls of Bob's sea salt into the tub, or on a full moon I go with purifying Himalayan Bath Salts to mineralize the skin, along with the prepared seaweed. Don't rinse off after a Kelp and sea salt or Javatee Himalayan Salt Bath, just wrap yourself in a big thirsty towel and sweat for half an hour. It's deliciously relaxing. I find I need any moisturizing afterwards, the minerals are unbelieveably hydrating, and don't strip off the skin's natural oils - it's quite remarkable."

Less Is More... "Personally, I stay away from skin care lotions except those I make from scratch. An incredible way to heal sun spots... whip together an egg white with a squeeze of lemon juice into a frothy merangue and massage into face and body. Finish with a couple of drops of Udo's Blend Oil and the light and easily absorbed Weleda Birch Oil shaken together with fresh-squeezed organic lemon juice, and Rose, Lavender, or Jasmine essential oil. I use Udo's Omega oils because they're extracted from plants, and not sourced from fish which all have some degree of toxic residues due to the pollution of our oceans."

Detoxification...  'A couple of times a week I sweat it out in a dry sauna, or steam followed by a round of Body'Fit pH Fitness™ to stimulate detoxification by balancing body pH after the rise in body temperature. Really it's good to sweat at least once a day. On a hot day you can even build up a sweat with pHx™ without getting overheated. Of course I eat at least 10 servings of fresh raw certified organically grown fruit and veggies. They're deliciously refreshing and contain lots of nutrition, and water, so I don't have to drink as much. I stay away from distilled water, and instead drink plenty of water from natural mineral springs. '

My first memorable experience with my hair... was as a child when I had long, beautiful, and very curly hair.  And my first awakening to the personal empowerment of hair was when it was cut off. With the loss of my mane, I also lost my intuition about what to do with my hair, for years I had a bad case of bad hair, I didn't have a clue how to care for, cut, or style it... I had stopped listening to my hair and my hair had stopped listening to me. I was using shampoo that I thought was mostly organic, and as it turned out it contained Sodium Lauryleth Sulfate (SLS)... an ingredient that is considered as hazardous material everywhere except in skin, hair, and make-up products - go fiqure. Sodium Lauryleth Sulfate has even found it's way into toothpaste... more than a little nauseating, don't you think?

The healing process began when I got rid of the Sodium Lauryleth Sulfate shampoo and was completed when I finally stopped cutting my hair. The curl came back, the bounce came back, and my hair once again returned to its original splendor. I started listening to it and discovered it didn't need gallons of soap dumped on it every year, in fact it didn't need any soap at all. I simply rince it out when I'm taking a shower with a solution of diluted certifed organic vinagar and it comes out squeeky clean, perfectly pH balanced with a healthy shine.

Each morning my hair care routine starts when I skin brush my whole body including my scalp. I follow with a self massage technique for releasing tension in the scalp... rubbing my scalp with my fingertips vibrating the skin all over the skull, then gently pulling sections of hair to massage the epidermis. I give it an oil treatment with organic olive oil, Udo's Omega oil, or a Weleda oil when I soak in a mineral bath once a week to restore it's natural fullness and health after exposure to the elements. Fashion to Fit... means that what you wear helps people notice you, not your what you're wearing. I sounds contradictory, but gorgeous clothes should quietly bring out your inner and outer beauty. For example, my dress size is four, however there was a time when I wore nothing but size 12, because I grew up thinking that was my size. Not only was my dress too big, but my bra size was all wrong for me too. I was completely ignorant about what looked or even felt good on me, and bought clothes on impulse because they kind of looked alright on the rack. Thankfully with a little help from my friends, my fashion savvy has improved considerably since then. I no longer look like I'm wearing a shapeless oversized bag, I only wear the clothes I love, and only have clothes in my closet that I actually wear. Now that my clothes stretch to fit, my clothing budget stretches a lot further too.

I highly recommend getting your colors done by a fashion professional. Find out if your skin tone is winter, spring, summer or fall. For example, when I used to wear warm or muted colors, people would see my clothe, and not give me a second glance. Now when I wear winter colors, ie. bright whites, blacks, chocolate browns, clear taupes, true blue and blue reds, lemon yellows, emeralds, frosty pale pastels, or any cool color shade... the eye of the beholder goes to my face, not to my clothes. I feel gorgeous too.

OF course, none of the above would have happened if I didn't love myself first. When I started to care for my body, in a way that really fit my body, my life changed. And more than a little. I never dreamed that in my late 50's I would be mistaken for someone in their 20's. You should see the looks my husband gets for being married to someone obviously much younger (I'm actually older so you can imagine the fun we have). My health and well-being is also an inspriation for him to do the Body'Fit pH Fitness routine everyday. And that makes me happy. Top of The Page

How does cellulite rear it's ugly head? Well, it counts on us being tired and hungry.
