A cold bucket of water! Is that how I get up 7-14 minutes early? Not quite. It's really a bowlful of ice, and a washcloth. It takes a little effort but once you get in the habit you'll wonder how you ever got up without it.
Procure a beautiful small bowl and fill it the night before with ice made from filtered water in and wrapped in a clean washcloth.
What do you do with it? As soon as you open your eyes, wring out the ice-cold washcloth, and here goes... under the warm covers, start with the sole of your left foot, run the cloth up your left leg, then your right sole and leg, buttocks, back, crotch, front of torso, left hand and arm, right hand and arm, and finish with a swoosh around your the back of your neck to cover every square inch of your body except your face and head. This sequence brings electrolytes which have sunk deep into the body during the night, to the surface helping dispel lethargy without shocking the cardiovascular system. Cosy up for a delicious 5 minutes stretching out on your back, arms by your sides with hands palm up, visualizing doing pHx and your focus for the day ahead. It makes getting up a few minutes early for a round pHx™ almost painless.
