Procure a beautiful small bowl and prepare it the night before with a trayful of ice wrapped in a clean washcloth, so the ice melts by morning. What do you do with it? As soon as you open your eyes, wring out the ice-cold washcloth, and here goes... under the warm covers, start with the sole of your left foot, run the cloth up your left leg, then your right sole and leg, buttocks, back, crotch, front of torso, left hand and arm, right hand and arm, and finish with a swoosh around your neck to cover every square inch of your body except your face. This sequence brings electrolytes which have sunk deep into the body during the night, to the surface helping dispell lethargy without shocking the cardiovascular system. Cosy up for a delicious 5 minutes stretching out on your back, arms by your sides with hands palm up, visualizing your glorious day ahead.
